Abigail Anne Wade was born April 12th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Houston, TX. She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. I went in to be induced April 11th at 7:00 p.m. My water broke on its own at 4:00 a.m. on the 12th. All went well for the next 10 hours until my epidural stopped working on my right side. By that time I was not progressing and Abigail was not moving into position. The doctor decided that it would be best to do a c-section around 2:00 p.m. I was rushed to the operating room and since my epidural was not working they had to give me a spinal. 5 minutes after the spinal I heard my precious Abigail crying. It was the most joyful moment and sound I could ever imagine (not so much now :)). Many family and friends visited her at the hospital which Nathan and I appreciated so much!
